Massage Therapy

Develop physical awareness and reduce chronic suffering with customized bodywork sessions at Ritual. We offer both treatment style and relaxation work using a variety of modalities including myofascial release, deep tissue manipulation, and meridian related techniques such as acupressure

Guided breath work is an important aspect of these sessions. Breathing deeply unlocks the relationship between our bodies and our thoughts while enriching our ability to integrate and move with change. With our breath, we can see life's shifting nature echoed in our body, and we become more comfortable surfing the unceasing current of experience. 



Energetic modalities - including craniosacral therapy, chakra balancing, and reiki - are interwoven into all massage sessions and used exclusively upon request. These gentle forms of bodywork soothe the nervous system and relax the body into a deeper state of recovery. Energywork asserts intentional less can do exponential more. It suggests our physical bodies are a reflection of our inner experience and beliefs.

Subtle bodywork takes a top down approach to healing. Rather than working deeply in the flesh of the physical body, energetic work attempts to set a resonance or tone in the nervous system. Energywork sessions are most fully received by those who are sensitive to their experience and open to subtlety. They require some active participation on the part of the recipient.

Yoga as therapy soothes what ails in body and soul while correcting posture-eroding patterns of muscular holding and unlocking the body’s energy.  Each session is customized to meet your ability and energy level. We move at the pace that works best for you and offer gentle adjustments along the way. 

Our teaching is influenced by many thoughtful yoga and movement traditions including hatha yoga, pilates, primal movement patterns, and yin yoga. Practicing yoga brings lasting gifts into our experience. We find greater ease and alignment in both body and life. All yoga sessions at Ritual offer the opportunity to bring breath to movement, awareness to anatomy, and acceptence to self.



Tap into the wisdom of the ages to apply new and personally relevant information to the task of knowing the Self: these intuitive coaching sessions explore concepts around mindfulness, consciousness, and self-discovery. Using various symbolic systems, we'll find your zen and investigate the deeper layers of your embodied experience to help you on your path to self-actualization.  

Each session focuses on a theme requested by the student or determined playfully using tarot or other intuitive systems. These sessions may include small rituals or ceremonies, writing exercises, and gentle movement. Mindfulness training sessions aim to connect you to your personal evolution within the context of your body, as such they may include moments of touch.

Expand your connection to thought, sensation and perception with a year-long course of study. In twelve mindfulness training sessions, over the course of twelve months, we’ll examine your experience of embodiment through the lens of various symbolic systems. Each session will set a focus of study for your heart, mind, and body to carry you through your month. The sessions will build on each other as you grow more fully into your Self.
